Description

Pretty seduces with its feminine concept, which rounds complete body and face care, as well as with floral juices created by perfumer Claude Dir of Givaudan. The fragrance opens with refreshing breezes of Italian mandarin and orange blossom mixed with peach juices. A heart is floral and gentle, created of petalia, starry jasmine, pink lily and peony, while base is soft and pleasant, composed of musk, Jacaranda wood and creamy amber. Petalia is a new, floral molecule which was first used and introduced in this very perfume. It is a creation and patent by the house of Givaudan. A flacon of Pretty is feminine, transparent and made of glass, with a heavy glass bottom. It was inspired by flower vase, since floral theme marks this edition in every view, from advertisement to ingredients. The advertising campaign was made by creative director and vice-president of the house of Elizabeth Arden, Mark Dixon, and it was envisaged as a timeless floral saga decorated with floral motives captures in a fragrant and feminine moment.

Elizabeth Arden is an American fragrance, skincare and cosmetics company started by Canadian entrepreneur Florence Nightingale Graham in 1910. Graham used Elizabeth Arden as her professional name as well as the name of her company. The company s initial focus was on skincare and cosmetics, and they opened the first Red Door spa in Manhattan, soon expanding to major cities around the world as their empire grew. Elizabeth Arden was an innovator in the field of women s cosmetics, introducing eye makeup to American women and pioneering the makeover. The company s first fragrance was Blue Grass, introduced in 1934. Elizabeth Arden remained at the helm of the company until her death in 1966. In the last part of the 20th century, the company changed hands several times, finally landing with FFI in 2003, who then adopted the prestigious Elizabeth Arden company name as their own. The company continues to produce cosmetics and skincare, but has changed its focus to fragrances, issuing a long list of scents under its own name brand, as well as scents under the brand names of designers and celebrities. Many Red Door spas continue to operate today, and the company paid tribute to this important piece of its history with the introduction of Red Door fragrance in 1989.
